Summer is in full swing which usually follows a beach trip or a similar outing, in order to enjoy the nice weather. However, it is always important to practice good sun safety and sunburn prevention whenever you’re outside. We have some helpful tips on how to prevent sunburns during the summer.

Even though most people associate sunburns with a trip at the beach, individuals need to be aware that sunburns happen during other types of outings. These include camping and hiking as well as any activity where you are outside for prolonged periods of time.

During a camping trip, or a beach day, make sure to wear protective clothing in order to prevent a possible burn. The best options include a lightweight shirt, pants, and hat that can protect against UV rays. Additionally, protective clothing can also help prevent other hazards when outside such as insect bites in wooded areas.
